The media have an opinion about this generation,
They see hoodies and guns across the nation.
But from my point of view this isn’t right,
Teens have fun, don’t go out and fight.
The papers are full of terrible crimes,
Committed by hoodies, almost every time.
Some people think that we’re all like this,
Graffiti and knives and using our fists.
But does anyone put themselves in our shoes,
Just try it now; you’ve got nothing to lose.
How would you feel if every day,
People were wary, dodging away?
The minority of teens are troubled and bad,
All of the others are made out to be mad.
We don’t deserve this bad reputation,
All of the teens who live in this nation.
This is going to be published in a Young Writers book. What do we all think of it?
